Server Requirements
DCForum has successfully served tens of thousands of clients whose

hosting company if your web account has CGI access.

onto your web server.
- Unzip utility - DCForum program is distributed in a ZIP file
format. You will need a utility to unzip the file. If you do not
own one, please check out WinZip.
Additional Requirements For UNIX/Linux Servers
- Ability to change directory/file permissions. Normally, a function
called "chmod" is used to perform this task.
- Sendmail - To utilize DCForum's email features, sendmail must
be enabled on your server. In most cases, sendmail is available.
Additional Requirements For NT 4.0 and Windows
2000 Servers
- SMTP email server
- Ability to change folder permission to FULL CONTROL for EVERYONE
- You will need to ask your hosting company to set folder permissions
unless a browser-based admin menu is available with your account.
