A topic view contains an original discussion message and its responses. Forum users may choose from one of two discussion mode: threaded or linear discussion. The threaded mode displays responses below its parent message, preserving the "flow of discussion". In this mode, one-to-one interaction is preserved. On the other hand, linear mode displays the responses in chronologicl order.
